I’m Paulina, it’s great to have you here.

I’m an author of children’s books illustrations, as well as film and theatre posters.

I also work on press illustrations, commercial illustrations, creating clothing prints, graphic designs and typography.

Due to numerous and diverse assignments which I undertake, I feel like I keep evolving in my craft, which is very important for me. I approach each new project with great enthusiasm.

I never assumed that I would become an illustrator, it all came very naturally.

Since I was a child, drawing was my main form of expression. While children were slowly losing interest in drawing, I continued to do so. An obvious choice was to later go to an art college and then an art university.

At first I was working as a clothing designer and designer of clothing prints for big companies. That is when I first became interested in designing for children. I decided to try my hand in illustration competitions. As a result of winning one of them I had the chance to illustrate my first book.

I grew up on classical polish illustration from the second half of the XX century, but also the 90’s cartoons (Captain Planet💛).

Besides drawing, I also love to watch horror films, cycle and observe people. That’s when I collect materials, stories and inspirations for the next projects. My designs are joyful and whimsical, because I like to make people laugh :).

I believe that against my playful nature, I try to be a minimalist, but it doesn’t always work. I’m a collector at heart.

I’m also a little bit sentimental, although I try to hide it. I rerun the library of books which I read as a child (Poems for Naughty Children by Danuta Wawiłow is my absolute favourite), I adore old toys (I conduct small-scale online investigations to find items that would interest me the most). I’m sympathetic towards the ‘ineffective’.

I’m excited about the little accidents that occur during the creative process. When something unexpected happens, thus allowing new opportunities to transpire.
