Designing process

I like to experiment with traditional materials and use various forms of media, including paints, crayons, inks and cutouts.

I often work with text, before I start the design process I like to ponder on it and think about how I can best interpret it. I really enjoy this concept phase of illustration making. When the first vision emerges, I begin to sketch. At this stage I present the work to the client and together we select the sketch that will be further executed.

The chosen design usually comes to life with the help of paints and pencil. After that it is transformed to the digital space where more finer details are added.

I have quite a particular design process, which allows me a lot of freedom: every sketch element is scanned individually, only then on my computer I use them to create a cohesive composition. Thanks to this I can make mistakes and experiment. This method is also ideal for alterations, which are an integral part of my work.

I would call my style optimistic, playful and colourful. I like to play with form and perspective, scaling the objects, giving them stilted proportions.
