Vampires, Monsters, Ghosts, and Other Otherworldly Creatures
"Vampires..." is in view of beings (not) from this world. It is the second book after "30 Vanishing Trampolines" for which I created illustrations in collaboration with Albus Publishing.
The book was awarded an honorary mention by the Polish Publishers Association in the Most Beautiful Book of the Year 2017 category.
With a great longing I reminisce about the books from my childhood, in which the illustrations were unsettling and caused some goosebumps on my skin.
For example, among others – “Sleeping Beauty” with illustrations by Wiktor Sadowski, and what may surprise you, “Good Morning – Trees!” with a terrifying weeping willow 😉 illustrated by Stanisław Mrowiński.
“Vampires…” is a book intended for older children, so while working on it, I allowed myself to introduce slightly spookier illustrations. Perhaps some children will also remember it with sentimentality :).
